Hi All!

What are the go-to flat pedals for a 9 year old please? I’m thinking some sort of small platform V8 type thing?

When young abbot was smaller I got the STW recommended shimano platforms and they were great!

Mine liked the Whyte plastic ones.

But he’s just as happy on Nukeproof Neutron Evos

Got my 9yo some of the DMR v6 nylon pedals –

Half a dozen rides and they seem like typically good DMR pedals. They are lighter than v8s and hopefully a bit nicer on the shins.

Yep, plastic DMRs here too. Perfect for kids I reckon.

Nukeproofs as above, or the Superstar plastic. Now on v12s. It doesn’t really matter as it will only be couple of years before they have size 9 feet or so , so pointless searching out small pedals.

Superstar are in the process of making some kid’s pedals. 80mm platform..
Could be worth an email to see when they’ll be available?

The plastic Nukeproof Sam Hills are good too
