Mrs M has just got a Samsung Watch 4 and is looking for an OS Gear app that she can use for walking that shows OS grid references. Any recommendations?

I’ve not used it yet (I just found out the app I did use isn’t supported anymore) but wristmap looks like it might do the job. (assuming it works out appears you can display the grid ref of the elements faces too so you don’t have to hunt for it) [edit, installed and tried, doesn’t seem to do much as a launched app but the widgets work fine on my trekmate]

Tbh though I use outdoor active or viewranger for actual mapping mostly since a ref is little use without a map.

I’ve used GNSS before on Wear OS. Just checked, seems to work on the Watch 4.

I have OS Locate on iOS. I don’t know if it’s available for Wear.
