go on, Ben, what the hell is that for? Fixed foot rest for a bar stool perhaps?

It’s not for anything – it was seized into a frame, and this was the only way to get it out!

Last week I stripped serviced and reassembled one of these.

    We’re still house hunting.
    We looked at this today.

That’s a double garage you can see to the left and yes, that’s a large brick shed in the back garden. All I could think about was all the stuff I could keep and make in those manrooms and then show on this thread.

What a pity it was on the edge of a war zone.

Samuri – someone also stole it’s soul along with the lawn 🙁

j_d that looks fantastic. While I was fettling earlier my eye fell on the crate of cider and perry I made 2 yrs ago. One of each made it into the house. I reckon I can open one up now….

Yeah, it’s a bit modern. It does have a large grass back garden. We only looked because it’s huge and very cheap. Once we got there and realised it was in an awful place we understood why,

I made it home with a Surly Steamroller’s BB threads in one piece. Cheers Ben… Thought at one point that the frame was gone. Would recommend Kinetics to anyone in the Glasgow area.

and just how are you supposed to fit wiggly bars in that stem eh Ben? Daft obsolete designs 🙄

This is why god invented forging!

Wiggly bars? Do you have a bad back or something? Bars should be flat, with a maximum 5-degree bend – anything else is just wrong.

I could make a front-loading stem of course, but they’re just so ugly 😉

    Another Theoben cocking bolt

I’ve probably mentioned it before, but I used to make bits for Theoben, like the guide plate for that there bolt, and the receiver.

sbob….I make these with 1/4″ UNF thread, but one guy I sold one to said it wouldn’t fit his Rapid. Did they use any other thread size or pitch for the cocking bolts ? 😕

I’m afraid it’s been too long for me to remember for certain, but with the exception of the threads for the mating sealed parts, all the threads on the Rapid 7 receiver were metric. 😕

Nope, I’m afraid not… It lives in Kansas and only has a 6 Gallon fuel tank lol! The farthest from home it’s been is Savannah in Georgia which took 19 fuel stops and 22hrs to fly the 1,400 miles.

Eclairs with a honey whiskey cream and Malibu chocolate sauce

Dark chocolate and Kahlua fudge brownies

Coffee, Raisin and Rum sponge, with espresso buttercream and cherry jam

that’s been it for my baking this week, needless to say I have been most popular in work for some reason

This is the last thing Ive been building

Chain whips don’t fit belt drive pulleys.
So, I made a sort of peg spanner thing…

No, it’s not a trick of the light. I’ve got pink hoses on my bike. 😀

MTG, I made a similar looking tool to lock the crankshaft pulley on my old Shogun. Rough and ready but did the job.
