Clement xplor USH or Schwalbe G-ONE?

Currently using Clement but after 2500K i think the rear has seen better days.

Used for paved/graded roads in about 50/50 ratio.

Have used both and in my opinion the g-one is the better of the two.
Mine have lasted really well too.

Which size G-One have you been using?
I thought my 30mm G-Ones didn’t seem particularly hard wearing at all.

No sadly not. Also too lazy to re-read my posts before clicking send. 😳

I was specifically thinking about the 40mm version. If anyone has experience of those it would be gratefully received.

I’m on the 35s. The originals, not the g-one whatever they are called now.
I have the s-ones on another bike in 30 and they are equally as good for more road biased work.

For the limited amount of non-tarmac riding I’ve done since fitting them, the 2.35″ G-One Speeds have been good in terms of grip and rolling resistance.

I did get a rear puncture the other weekend on tarmac, while running it at ~40PSI with an SV19A tube, a few minutes from work. ~3mm gash in the central tread area (glass shard?).
Now running the rear much closer to the max rating of 50PSI.

Few gravel tyres in there at decent prices, when used with the 30% off code “PRATOZH”

I accidently bought a G-One All Round – a more knobbly version (it was in CRC’s sale). Looks good for gravel. I do currently use the normal G-Ones tubeless for on-road as well as gravel – they’re great, very fast rolling.

If your gravel bike / cx frame has the capacity for it, the Surly Knard 41c 120tpi version is a peach.

I’m not quite sure what a graded roads are but my 35mm g-ones are excellent for a mix of road and smoother trails, like towpaths/hardpack/fireroad-type stuff. Needs to be non-muddy and non-rocky though. For tougher terrain I swap to 40mm WTB Nanos.

I am using the G-One all-round – rolls superbly well on the road (not noticeably slower than road tyres) and goes well on the gravel at 40psi tubeless. well worth a punt.
