27 I was moving from my MSc in Newcastle to first year PhD, in Glasgow. I had a plan for the next 3 years so was fairly settled. It was however, 3 years of discovery and adventure. 🙂
Pretty much continued along that line for the following 8 years.
I’m 44 this year. Dunno, being in my 40’s has never really bothered me. Still very active and doing loads of riding, beering, traveling and fit and healthy.
It was when I turned 27 that I had to sort myself out! Smoked, drank way too much, awful diet and unbelievably unfit. Bought a mountain bike… little did I know how many of thousands of pounds I’d spend on it all in the following years.
