We will be in touch
as in slack/tapered head tube?
Looking for a cheap second hand hardtail frame to run with new tapered pikes etc
Later Ragleys use 44mm headtube iirc.
Wanga
Soul ๐
Is a Wanga really like a BFe? I had one, and it was a thin tubed 853, steepish light xc bike.
Evil Sovereign
Prince Albert
On one 456 / summer season
Ragley pig
Ragley piglet
Ragley Marley
Stanton slackline
Newer wangas are aluminium lt hardtails with tapered head tubes.
Just get a BFe,
#PedanticModeOn# Small e (pronounced beefy), and doesn't have a tapered head tube #PedanticModeOff#
Sorry it's 21.09 where I am, and I'm literally drinking alcohol out a bucket ๐
No it doesn't your right but you can run tapered forks!
You're ๐
lol
Not sure how many second hand tapered head tube hardtails you'll find. Probably only been producing them for 2-3 years and even then only in fairy small numbers.
The BFe isn't that slack angeled, same geo as the Soul but sturdier construction. My frame is from 2011 and Imrecall the tapered ones weren't available yet.
44mm head tubes will take a tapered fork though, so check those frames out too. No idea who has those in their hard tail line up though!
And how cheap does it need to be?
Dialled alpine mk3 #want
Evil Sovereign that was mentioned above would be the most fun choice... However it can't take a tapered fork and there is no straight steerer pike...
Damn marketing...
mmmmbop... had a 1.5 headtube
I have a large BFe frame to sell if you are interested, current generation in gritstone/black.
Dialled alpine mk3 #want
Any excuse...

Newer oranges crushes have tapered and 650B
Those Alpines do look good in Orange. Mine is a Mk1, but I would recommend them, as I don't think to much has changed between the various iterations.

Lots of hardtails do now, don't they? Including said BFe.
Privee Shan
Fork : from 150 to 160mm travel
Head tube angle: 66ยบ
though not sure if you would get them cheap and 2nd hand
Kelvin - for sure, but he wants cheap second hand, which presents a limitation as most will be quite new I suspect and not cheap enough for Steptoe here.
Genesis Alpitude has a 44mm headtube which might fit the cheap parameter, but probably not the right brand (darling!)

be careful, new BFe does, but they are still selling the classic BFe which does not.
Orange Subzero... if your man enough.... ๐
