I need to change my bottom bracket.
I am not sure what type of tool I need to get it out, so I then know what to order.
does anyone out there know they tupe of tool i need,

My bike is a 1998 GT LTS 2000. yes I know I would be better getting a new bike....

Would this work.

Should do, pretty much industry standard on a bike of that age.

I've a similar task ahead of me, would a 15mm socket from halfords work just as well for half the price?

Probably. You'll also need cranck extractors to get the cranks off first.
