    The option to send to device isn’t there and I canny find it.

    Connect is on and synced.

    It’s a Garmin 530, frustratingly I’ve managed to send routes from the planned bit before.

    Can you see the route in Connect – under Training and Planning / Courses?

    What am I doing wrong here?

    Do you need to be subscribed to Komoot Premium to do that?

    Nah.

    The frustrating thing is I’ve sent courses before the send to device option seems to have disappeared.

    I didn’t last week!

    Any routes I plan in Komoot automatically sync to Connect. I don’t have to do anything. I’d try “de-syncing” the Komoot/Garmin connection and setting it up again.

    Can I be the first annoying bastard to say “using Garmin”?

    Are you sure you don’t need komoot premium? Komoot let’s you have 1 or 2 regions for free, so if it’s working for local ones and not different regions that’s probably why.

    I had the same problem!

    @hellothisistom – you’re confusing Komoot Premium with Komoot mapping regions. They are both chargeable but you can get worldwide mapping with Premium.

    All I do in Komoot is save the route, it then automatically picks it up on my Garmin using the Komoot Garmin IQ app.  Not sure that answers your question but it might help you get the route across if it isn’t working the normal way.  I’m guessing that is what scotroutes does as well

    Download the gpx from Komoot, open with Garmin Connect, save route and sync to preferred device via Connect.

    Works reliably for me.

    @leffeboy – I only need the Komoot CIQ app on my Oregon 700. My Edge 530 and Fenix 6 don’t require it.

    @merak
    – is this a route you’ve created yourself or loaded into Komoot from somewhere else? I just wonder if that makes a difference. Try copying it in Komoot, making a small change, and see what happens?

    Excellent, I hadn’t spotted that before.  I used to have an Edge 1000 that needed the app but my 530 does indeed sync the courses once I have made the connection to Garmin in my Komoot profile and enabled automatically push tours to Garmin.  Nice, thanks

    It’s free right?

    It’s just everything I do gets a paywall?

    I just wondered if you got to send so many then paywalled afterwards.

    Ok, so you haven’t bought any Komoot mapping packages? You probably have the one free “local” region. The World package is often on sale for £19.99.

    This app worked for me the other day to get a gpx from komoot, you just need to make the route public for a few minutes while you download it:

    @chambord

    How do you get the route onto your Garmin after you’ve downloaded it?

    @Merak I added it through the Garmin connect app

    If you have Strava also synched you can add gpx files there too and they will appear on your Garmin.
