Hardly ever take photos, but the weekend I do, there’s no thread!
Pretty gloomy over the South Downs.
Thing was, it was only a short ride, but mental health wise, it was massive. Didn’t use the ebike due to the filth and for the first time in ages on the hardtail didn’t struggle up the hills. Felt great, singing whilst riding through the puddles. Proper tonic for the soul getting out there.
filth, joyous filth:
Oh my goodness that looks utterly filthy whereabouts on the South Downs was that?
I've not taken any pics for days other than these dewy spider webs and one of my son's scrapes after coming up short on a tabletop. Didn't want to get the phone out in the weather!
Started the weekend yesterday, and hoping to get a few hours in the morning before it rains again.

Track was in the lowlands On the way back to Denmead. There were even wetter places later in the ride - one road that is occasionally on my extended commute was almost hub deep flooded for 30metres or so. Hardly actually got rained on though.
Gorgeous pics RD
Me showing my displeasure at being forced to ride in such a shit place again.

You did well. My son found some impassably deep water and had to be recovered from his morning road ride today from a cycle route near Fareham.
He was on his way to something and when I collected him later in the day he ended up wading back to the car in bare feet and trousers up near his knees.
Wet Quantocks, at least in the afternoon. Still good for the mood.
@rocketdog - Elan Valley? Normally you can see bits of the dam! Plenty water up in Wales then
I didn't take any ride photos. It was at least 100% slippier than last week. Many an 'emergency tripod' was deployed. Still sun was shining and we finished in the pub. But even double 'fuglyguard' (Crud/Mudhugger) could save my troons from a proper splattering.
my pondering bench, gazing out to sea...
I've been doing a ride to the beach for the last couple of weeks looking for the sweetest ride/route.
There's a new signposted walkerist/bici trail in my region Southern Spain:
https://www.campoder.es/red-de-senderos/sectores/
so I gave the D2 sction a spin over the mountains and I think its a nice one (definitely nicer than the one that I met some cyclists who'd been riding on the motorway)
And the destination, I tend to carry a decathlon xl microfibre towel and some trunks as it packs small
Was pretty quiet on the beach at 4pm but the weather was perfect probably lower mid 20's .
