The “chain tug” horizontal bolt to the right of the sliders…. Going to look at a Bizango tomorrow and it doesn’t have those bolts. 2013 MY. The picture above is a stock pic showing the dropouts with the bolt fitted obviously.

Will they be standard hex bolts with a lock nut on them basically? Which I can source easily enough. Nothing proprietary or anything, that I will have issues finding??

    Thanks.

    Thanks!

    Hey Poop

I have a 2013 Wanga frame which I’m sure has the same dropout system.

This stupid forum never lets me post a picture anymore but if you pm me your email address I can send you a picture of the bolts I have just taken one out.

In case you’re still wondering, I’ve just had a look at a screw in my Bizango. It’s a standard M5 thread, 27mm long, with a nylock nut.

So it’s just the length that’s a bit odd… Either 25 or 30 long will do, I reckon.

Edit: It’s a capscrew, but a hex head will be ok.

I happen to have a Bizango and the world’s best bolt shop up the road from me, wouldn’t be able to sort until later this week or next weekend but I’ll wind one of mine out and take it up the road to get some for you if necessary. The bolts are pennies, the stamp to send them to you will be the expensive bit.

    From Jonv’s link

The M5 x 25 stainless have a greater thread length than the 30mm. So get the 25.

    Cheers theotherjonv.

Just ordered some stainless bolts and nuts though from eBay though! Lol

Got these as threaded all the way up. M5, 30mm, stainless (5 of) for £1.25 delivered. Ditto 5 stainless nylocs.👍

Huge thanks guys, let’s hope I actually buy the bike now.lol

    Well, I got the bike!

I think I’ll be changing the Raidon fork pretty soonish. Also, the 15mm “Qlock” is not great…. and they are £30 to replace!

Also needs a new BB. Octalink I think? Will get it out and measure it to get a replacement.

All in all a nice little bike.👍

forks probably aren’t bedded in. if it’s anything like the voodoos the lids ride around here they are wheelie everywhere!

What, you mean it’s not in good condition or the design? First time I’ve encountered one and thought it was quite clever, but may also be prone to malfunction.

The Raidon that came on my Bizango was drastically improved by doing the “oil mod” – remove lowers, clean off all the grease, butcher some Rockshox 32mm foam seals to fit and add some shock oil (or similar).

That said, I also eventually had to replace the rebound cartridge as all my travel disappeared, which wasn’t an economical fix, and now the bushes are worn so it clacks around like a pair of maracas, and so i’ve given up on it after three years of hard use, and will be hunting for something better after xmas!
