Has the cokehead in chief even mentioned Covid since the election?

All I’ve seen is him celebrating the supreme court overruling the governor’s limits on religious gatherings, and a retweet of a doctor’s selfie implying COVID is fake news. Oh, and a tweet suggesting people gather to celebrate Thanksgiving.

‘In the latest example of misinformation about the coronavirus ricocheting across social media, a Nevada doctor’s selfie has been used to spread false claims that downplay the severity of the pandemic.

In the picture posted to Twitter on Sunday, the doctor, Jacob Keeperman, is standing at the Renown Regional Medical Center’s alternate care site in Reno, Nev. In the background, empty hospital beds covered in plastic stand in a vacant parking area. The photo was taken on Nov. 12, the day the site opened, so patients had not yet arrived, Renown Health said.’

Perhaps just as worrying is Bidens cabinet announcements all far right centrists and corporate lobbyists. Just business as usual, there will be no attempt to fix the underlying issues and improve peoples lives.

Biden campaigned and was elected as a moderate centrist. His cabinet picks are consistent with that. Cabinet secretaries have to be confirmed by the Senate, which will probably be controlled by Republicans. Even if it’s not, there won’t be support for left-wing cabinet picks.

Trumps populism was built on the fact that so many people felt ignored and excluded by modern politics, that will only get worse if they don’t start swinging back to people centric policies.

I think his support was mostly built on resentment about social change. A bunch of left-wing cabinet secretaries trying to upend existing systems is exactly what will make Trumpism seem more attractive to moderate voters. Moderate centrist voters want a guy like Biden, not Bernie Sanders.

Biden was elected as not Trump, and his cabinet picks are not moderate centrists, they are corporate lobbyists and right wing centrists. Not one of them is a moderate centrist (even in the American sense of centrist).

If progress can be made to make peoples lives better in the next 4 years, then Trumpism is dust. If the same alienation and ignorance to the lives of normal people continues then his successor will rise and be better at it, then we really are ****.

If you take a step back, and just look at exactly what trump & GOP are doing, it’s unbelievable.

He/they are attempting to ignore an election and seize power. The country seems powerless/unwilling to stand up to him.

I would like to see all those left with any integrity get together and call it what it is. Governors, Mayors, Senators, Military, GOP, Police Chiefs, Judiciary, oh, AND THE FRIKKIN RELIGIOUS LEADERS!!!

powerless/unwilling to stand up to him.

They’ll just leave it until he’s a nothing on 21st Jan and then Biden will order the special forces to get him out of there.

They’ll be a few more riots whilst COVID rampages through the streets of the US, what a time to be alive if you’re a domestic American citizen.

Pretty well summed. But you forgot…’the great Reset’*

*Still not sure what it is but think maybe something to do with shadowy ‘globalists’ (((I never said Soros))) forcing us all to ride Segways to the gulag?

*Edit, seriously, that’s Sky News Australia??? I feel like this is becoming sort of like Willy Wonka World and all prior points of reference are now floating orange clouds that emit random contradictory gases towards which people run and prostrate themselves. ‘He’s not The Messiah Brian, he’s a Best Conman Messiah You’ve Ever Known Probably The Best Of All Time And Maybe Even Before Time Itself’

Don’t forget that Trump prophesised that if Biden won then no one would ever mention Covid again after election day.

They are still mentioning it. It’s getting worse.

Therefore clearly Biden didn’t win! Simples!

Plus planning a rally this weekend and hosting White House Christmas parties.

The formal position from the White House (whilst many are queuing for food handouts). Wife and I agreed McEnany has had some cosmetic work done since her last presser. Face is completely different.

‘Q And then just real quick: The CDC Director today said that the next few months could be among the worst public health months in American history. I wondered, does the White House — is it setting a good example for the public — for White House to be doing in-person holiday parties at a time when the CDC and other organizations are asking Americans to forego those kinds of celebrations for their own safety?

MS. MCENANY: Yeah, so, you know, if you can loot businesses, burn down buildings, engage in protest, you can also go to a Christmas party, you can celebrate the holiday of Christmas, and you can do it responsibly, which is why the East Wing has noted that they’ll have smaller guest lists, masks are going to be available, social distancing is going to be encouraged, hand sanitizing stations, among other measures. But we will engage in the celebration of Christmas, and there will be a Hanukkah celebration as well.’

Obama tried that, remember Obama care, reviled by many of the people it was directly helping. The average American voter makes Brexiteers looks rational. They respond to populist wolf whistle politics not reasoned argument. Tell you’re going to make America Great Again and they’re all for it, give them accessible health care and they’re immediately suspicious their rights are being weirdly eroded.

Actually over 75% of the American population are in favour of universal healthcare, its only the media whipping up a vocal minority opposition that makes it seem otherwise.

Obamacare only provided for a minority that were uncovered, introducing proper universal healthcare would reduce bills and increase coverage for the majority.

This is what I mean by actually improving peoples lives to demonstrate a real change, rather than just pretending that pandering to corporate lobbyists isn’t going to just make matters worse.

“Obamacare” sums up the republicans nicely. Obama tried to appease them and so based it around ideas which had been floating around on the republican side for some time which explains some of its failings.
However as soon as became his idea and not theirs apparently it became the worse thing ever.

Apparently Trump recently made ‘maybe my most important speech ever yadayada’

Don’t CNN seem to be playing right into Trump’s hands by not broadcasting his 46 min address? Obviously the Trumpers are increasingly threatening Civil War now it’s being shown that their great leader is in fact being silenced by the librul globalist commulistic media. But the point remains? How are CNN et al not playing into his hands?

No, it’s not the average voter. It’s the extremes. Yes, there are some unfavourable opinions held by lots of people, but that’s true here too. Don’t kid yourself that we’re any better than them or anyone else.

dantsw13 – senate seats are voted for on a state-wide basis.
In Georgia, loeffler is referred to as the junior senator as she is the most recently arrived; she was appointed by the governor – not elected.
The Warnock v loeffler debate is live on CNN; it’s either Friday or Sunday.

The last survey i saw regarding American christians estimated that around 40% of them believed in the Noahs ark thing and if it wasn’t for those damned Turks they could prove it.
When one considers the above it’s not hard to understand the cult like following he enjoys by the credulous and gullible among the population.

Obama tried that, remember Obama care, reviled by many of the people it was directly helping.

TBF Obamacare is still about the most perfect example of politics failing I can think of. And not because of the obvious stuff- that it was hated by the people it’d help most, or the awesome fact that if you ask people about the “affordable care act” they’re likely to approve while the same people when asked about “obamacare” are more likely to disapprove, when it’s the same thing…

Nah, the big thing is that it’s a Republican policy. Obama’s administration realised they weren’t going to be able to pass the healthcare act that they wanted, so as a compromise they dusted off Republican healthcare policy and said “OK, this is the best we can do, but it’s still worth doing and we should be able to get it through without any trouble”. And the second they announced it, suddenly that Republican policy was Evil Communist Democrat Leftist Madness. Republicans who’d been involved in writing it queued up to denounce it.

And it worked. That’s the main thing. It never even looked like it wouldn’t work.

Now, US politics is not UK politics but, remember all that next time someone says the left has to compromise and meet in the middle and take the centre. What happens in the real world is the left compromises and meets in the middle and the right says “that’s too left wing” and lurches right and the compromise fails and then everyone says “yeah but that’s because the left has to compromise…”
