What tyre pressures in kids’ bike tyres? I’m a bit old school and have probably always put too much air in, so wondering how low I can go.

    8yo is on a 20″ Isla with 2.25 and 2.0 Maxxis tyres
    10yo is on a 26″ Isla with 2.4 and 2.1 Schwalbes

no idea what they actually weigh, but both normal healthy weight for active kids (what might be considered to be slim compared to the general population!)

Have put about 20psi in all of those, but that’s already below the min stated for the Schwalbes

Pump up the tyres, sit kid on the bike and deflate until you get 15% deformation.

Ghetto tubeless and you can go really low.
I had my kid and one of his buddies on the bike park last week. My guys tires are low, sub 15psi i think…his buddies were like solid rubber probably 40+psi and he was bouncing off everything. Dropped a bunch of air out and it was a different experience for him (much better).
With tubes though, pinch flats might be a real pain.
