I've bought a blackspire cinch chainring to go on some raceface aeffect cranks. I don't seem to be able to get the ring on, any tips? Has the cinch mount changed, my cranks are probably 6 years old. In the video for installation, it just drops on!
I have RF Aeffect and Turbine cinch cranks and never had a problem fitting a chainring to either - just fits on. Are you sure it’s a cinch ring?
Ring says raceface direct mount, I'm assuming that's cinch? Everything looks to line up, just doesn't go on
I've used several blackspire chainrings on my cinch cranks and never had an issue. I'd line the 2 chainrings up and see what's stopping it from fitting.
Nothing appeared to be stopping it, I turned the ring to each spline in turn and there was nothing obvious. I've gone medieval and erm, "tapped" it home with a block of wood and a persuader. It won't be coming off! 😳
