And apologies if I have shown this before, but prompted by the Fordson And County above as well as being Hay Festival currently and this being the star attraction for me.
Was on the roadbike at the w/e and fell in behind a 60s Fordson major towing a trailer with a similar age Massey on it (amazing nick), perfect for drafting as they were going along at about 25-35km/h – stayed behind for about 2km, then overtook them on a hill!. Classic smell of tractor diesel exhaust, reminded me of being a kid standing on the triangle of the trailer (fully loaded with small bales) during haymaking, a H&S dream today!
RNLI Tractor coool:-)
Isn’t it, though!
It’s articulated in the middle, and properly watertight, fabulous thing!
Proper case of tractor lust when I saw it out on display in Burnham on Sunday!
It’s called ‘Bendy’, a specially adapted Talus MB-4H: http://www.burnham-on-searnli.org.uk/page15.htm
Whilst on Raasay in May I saw an old Unimog rusting away in a field, you can see it on Google StreetView so it’s been there a while. Very sad indeed. Maybe McM’s next project ?
