show me yours and some tips where to buy, either a sheet of drilled wood or the custom made metal ones?

I currently have screws in the wall and wanted something a bit better;

I use a top cab and roller cab to store mine, I did the whole tool wall thing and it's not worth the bother.

I'd say you already have the better solution. Very adjustable and flexible. A pre drilled board or similar would be a step backwards. Maybe a fancier rack for screwdrivers or allen keys if you are desperate to buy something

Flexibility of screws wins for me. Put a sheet of MDF or OSB on the wall then drive screws or hooks in wherever you need things.

After a lot of digging around the internet for big peg boards and tool hanging bits, I gave up. Just built a giant wooden board to hang on the wall with a french cleat, and hold stuff off that using screws/nails/hooks and some screwdriver holders from B&Q. Easier than drilling into the wall, moves when we move house, and a lot cheaper than pegboard.

Screwfix do magnetic tool holder strips for about £6.

Bott systems down in the south west make very nice ones under their 'perfo' system.

Their panels start from £20, get a panel to fit your space and budget and then add hooks as you go along.

Their range of hooks, clips and brackets is vast, it all locks onto the board so they won't lift off when you remove the tools and the quality is damn good.

In no way the cheapest option but if you want something decent that you can unscrew and move if required, I can totally recommend the Bott system, well worth the cash.

Similar for me, except I've got a collapsable Hazet Assistent 166 for all my bike tools. Small enough that it can go in the boot for a big biking weekend, and when it's up and the lower 'bin' is weighed down with tools and spares and whatever, it makes for a damn good makeshift workstand. I love it!

Edit - tried to quote the first reply. Failed.

Thought about pegboard but its pretty expensive and its not that flexible.

I went with ply screwed to batons and then magnetic strips or holders screwed to the ply

Its not as neat any more (bought more tools!) but its still a lot handier than having them inside a toolbox

A Phil Wood hub on a GT timberline or a Marin Pine Mountain

When I moved into this house, I found a pack of tongue & groove wall paneling in the attic. Built a bench in the garage, stuck some battens on the wall above it, and put the paneling over them. Now just tap in a nail whenever I get a new tool.
