Anyone successfully removed a Thule locking core (that’s in it’s locked position) without smashing the handle to bits?

Ultimately I’ll drill the core out on the press before I part with pennies.

Got no keys with my racks. Got the three unlocked ones pulled no bother despite Thule saying I had to give them money for a “master key” to do it…..

Failing that I’ll just use a reusable ziptip to ensure I stays cammed over.

See If anyone you know has the same key as they are numbered , it’s on the front face of the lock.

Well that was surprisingly easy. Unscrewed it from the rack put handle in vice

Turned the locking pin with pliers forced it past the locking mechanism with minimal force.

Stuck a seal pick in to release the catch and used another to lift the rockers inside to let the barrel out the handle.

Job done -i’d have bought new keys from the number If I didn’t have 4 different number locks. Bought 4 matched barrels to replace
