Does anyone have this set up? As long as the roof bars have t-track fixings it should fit OK shouldn’t it? I have just bought a new car and it comes with roof bars fitted so don’t really want to splash out on a new set.

T-track is a universal thing. You will be right.

My mate has Thule 532’s on non-Thule roof bar T tracks, works fine.

The Thule manuals reference an additional bit for some other racks.

I’ve used Thule 591 carriers with BMW roof bars.

Had to buy new T-track adapters as the ones that came with the carrier weren’t the right size.

    Part number 889-1 it think.

Personally I prefer the under-estimate clamps to t-rack – have seen less failures (of under-estimate setups). So either t-rack or as long as bars are narrow enough for the under-estimate clamps then no bother.

Thule racks on Atera bars here, no issues.

I think Thule and most others are 20mm t-track (the widest bit inside the rack) but some german OE bars are 25mm.

beer247 is correct – you need the wider adapters 889-1 if using OEM BMW, MERC and some other car brands own kit.

Exodus (Halfords) are a Thule design anyway so they will of course fit.
