Please, please revert it back. It crashes Safari, and causes Chrome to freeze completely.

Nope. Not on Chrome on Windows. No boxes at all.

I did wonder if my lack of those test and visual boxes was due to some setting or other. So I went to account preferences and saw that there was a tick against ‘Fancy Editor’. So I unticked it, clicked ‘Save Preferences’ and… the tick came back! Tried it again on another device – same result. Logged in and out, same result. It seems that Fancy Editors are for ever, and I shall never have those lovely boxes.
