    A few screws obviously

But I’ve done the code thing and been on the Garmin page aaaaand the prices look about the same as everywhere else, so have I missed a trick?

Yeah I noticed nothing different to normal prices.

Keep an eye on sport pursuit for discounted Garmin stuff

Is it like BlueLightCard NHS discount that states up to 40% discount. Then you go in and it’s obsolete crap that no one wants, all the good stuff is still full RRP ?

I have access through perks at work too and that’s the same at the moment – same price as their normal website.

The pricing is normally pretty tasty through these discount portals so presume there’s something going on with Garmin considering their pricing. A few weeks ago they were knocking epix gen 2 watches out at 279 before they went back up to 399 and then the current ‘everywhere price’ so maybe they’re having a thorough check for misprices or something before switching the discounts back on??

Yeah I think it’s Garmin trying to cut their losses.

When I first had access to discount through work it was 40% off absolutely everything on the website. I’ve noticed that it covers fewer items these days but haven’t checked for a while.

My next purchase was going to be a dash cam so hopefully they’re still included.

I picked up my instinct 2 cheaper than I could get it elsewhere via the discount. Decent enough for training/riding and cheap enough that if i smash it at work, I won’t cry too much over it.

Log out of the Garmin site so you are an unknown user. Go to discount site and follow link to Garmin site and select your products. Once purchased, get order number(s) and log into Garmin site, go to your profile and add the order number(s). This then shows the new stuff on your account.

I got an Edge 840 for slightly less than the best price anywhere else. Just checked and that discount is still there.

My student discount still works fine.

sorry if I’m being a total dumb arse, but that is a, bloody convoluted and b, sounds like I find out the discount after purchasing???? I really don’t understand

Not a problem…but that is how to get the Garmin discount to work. You need to be unknown to Garmin when you go to the site, so if you have a Garmin account and logged in, just log out.

The adding your new order to your account is optional, sorry if it wasn’t made easy enough not to think the steps through. 😉

Deffo not logged in added item to my basket, same price,  which about the internet price.

I think flogging the discount as 40% off is a stretching the elastic some what.

I’m sure it says “up to 40% off selected items” (or words to that effect). I’m really not expecting to see 40% off every item on the site.

I did manage to score a big discount on a Neo 2T a few months back. Certainly a lot cheaper than other sites were selling it at.

It is just the discounts already available on the site to anybody. Some companies don’t actually apply any extra discount for these “members” schemes, they just use them to promote existing discounts to the scheme users.

    No its not.

I bought an Instinct 2 through the STW discounts at a significantly lower price that the (discounted) price they are shwoing on the website now, and lower than I’ve seen anywhere selling them for before or after.

Its just that the discounts are temporary, and fluid.
