…when you manage to fix a bike out of your spares box!

I know it isn’t a big deal really but doesn’t it feel great to be doing something on a bike when you realise you need a part and rather than either going into town or waiting for the postman, you go digging in the “I wont chuck it because I may need it one day box” and you find exactly what you are looking for. The more obscure the part the better.

Even better if you manage to fix it in time to join the group ride.

This rare thing has happened 3 times in the last couple of weeks, it will probably never happen again now I’ve posted this.

Wait until you can build a whole bike from spares!  That’s a game-changing feeling of satisfaction.

I built my daughter up a bike on a super-cheap Cube frame from Bikediscount.de.  My only outlay was 1 disc brake hose and 1 new gear cable and outer.  Felt great to build up a bike for about £75 including the new frame.

Top work, I’ll keep collecting.
