    Feeling really pissed off.

    Week 2 of debilitating viral illness. Swollen glands, complete lethargy – not bad in the morning, awful in the afternoon. Same as this time last year.

    Completely impossible to sit around doing absolutely nothing. Start to tinker on bike, wife thinks I’m better so gets stroppy if I don’t do work on new build house (move in imminently with a million sodding jobs to do)

    Race fitness going down the pan. Attempt to get back to work today failing. Not drinking, eating healthily and going mad, utterly mad.

    Lack of energy + lack of imagination + formerly being stuck in activity-rut. I feel your pain, am on forced rest regime to try and heal a bad strain/tear. 10 months off MTB. Finally gave in last night. Stacked. Oh dear.

    Why aren’t you learning guitar or something?

    Packs of frozen microwaveable veg help keep yr health up. Also microwaveable salmon fillets (Lidl/Aldi etc)similarly no fuss or personal energy expenditure required to cook.
