Super….. is faster than speed of light.

Is there similar terminology for it?

IIRC, nothing can go faster than the speed of light. Therefore no need for a word for it.

Nothing we currently know can go faster than the speed of light – so no word has been invented to define it.

    Tachyon

Fromn the Greek menaing fast, quick, swift etc

Particles that always move above the speed of light are named this

It is debatable whether they exist but we tend to not have words for things that dont exist [ above light speed speeds] or we dont experience like say warm snow, dry rain etc

EDIT should have typed at Tachyon speeds but then again I could have answered before you asked with a tachyon telephone

FWIW Einsteins theory holds that nothing that can travel below the speed of light [ us for example] can exceed it. It is non commital on whether things can exist above it in all states but it would break causality if it could.

    Ok, rewording the OP:

Subsonic is slower than speed of sound…

Sub….. is slower than speed of light. Is there similar terminology for it?

    c

c is the speed of light

c+ would therefore be faster than the speed of light

    Even faster would be c++

    Warp speed would c#

    My vote is for Superluminal.
Something is supersonic when it travels faster than the speed of sound in the medium from which to speed of sound is defined

It’s reasonable to have a word for something that travels faster than light travels in a medium which is not a vacuum, such as glass [~ (2/3)*c].

Cougar the suffix would be super in your example

But the speed of light is the speed of light in a vacuum
Everyone knows it can be exceeded as the spped of light is lowered as it propogates through matter
So you can exceed the speed of light , as long as it happens within other matter but not exceed the speed of light [ in a vacum]

I’ve seen Sub- and supra-luminal used in fiction literature, and tachyonic drive used as well.
