looking for suggestions on how to get my stuck grub screw out of the bleed port of a Hope RX4 caliper… it’s well and truly in there, i’ve tried heat and managed to do the following to my allen key:

unless that key is made of cheese then there is nothing I can think of that would get it out. Back to Hope with it is what I would do next.

You could try heat and shocking it – impact driver perhaps?

    A bit more heat??
Have you tried tightening it slightly first? That often helps break any corrosion that stops things moving.

think i’ll try more heat as suggested, and putting another allen key in a vice and using the caliper as the lever…. soacking in WD40 now and i’ve had to come to work (bloody work getting in the way of things!)

an yep, i tried tightening it 1st!

i rung hope about 10 minutes ago and they said try everything we’ve suggested above… also, give it a wallop with the allen key too

I’m surprised you managed to do that to the allen key without the bolt rounding out first!
