  • SRAM X-9 rear derailleur hanger mounting bolt – where from?

Need one of these as the one I picked up cheap from Ebay (bloody typical) for girlfriends bike has a hanger stuck rock solid onto it. I’ve manged to remove hanger and bolt but the bolt is about to round off and it’s not budging.

Cheapest I’ve found is about £18 which seems outrageous and it would be cheaper picking up a whole knackered rear mech! Any suggestions, other than don’t buy used gear on Ebay, appreciated.

    Cheers

wtd on classified for a knackered mech or bolt would be the best. I gave mine away as i kept my broken one knowing someone would want parts.

Pretty sure they are all the same – well x0 and x9 are

How do you get the bolt off the mech. There’s the little black plate used with the b-tension screw but how do you actually remove the mounting bolt?

circlip after the black plate towards the thread.
Remove this , black plate comes free and withdraw the bolt

+1 Junkyard. It’s a bit fiddly though. £18 sounds steep, I didn’t pay that much when I replaced the bolt on my old 2005 X0mech.

Int the derailleur mounting bolt type dependant on the frame?

I overtightened mine and got one from Goldtec for no more than £2.
