…I know a dummie (ahem), who needs to figure out spoke lengths…

the person in question will be using XTR 965 hubs front and back on 29er rims (20mm high, 30mm wide)…

what math do I do to calculate, or is there somewhere online with this info so I don’t have to?

he would much appreciate any pointers… 🙂

The Wheelpro calculator’s good, as is the accompanying book (available as a download). Everything you need to know about building wheels

As a former dummy I’d recommend trying a couple of sites a couple of times. Keep trying till you get some consensus.

+1 for Wheelpro book (search for Roger Musson Wheel Building Book). £10 for pdf download – worth every penny.

I’ve built 5 wheels using it and all except 1 have been pretty much spot on.

    Cheers
