I’ve got a Soalris frame and have some SLX M675 brakes, what do i need to mount the rear brake (i’ll be using a 160mm rotor). I assumed it was a Post to IS 160 mount, i have one of those lying around somewhere.

The mount on the frame doesn’t have any threads and the bolts i have are the wrong diameter.

The threads should be in your adaptor, not in the frame

It’s a standard mount – nothing odd about it

I have 160 mm slx brakes on mine – and just use the standard adaptor that came with the brakes

Its a IS mount. you’ll need a IS to PM 160mm
some thing like a type1 on here
the M5 bolts pass through the frame and screw in to the mount.

    thats the kiddy.
Toptip run a short length of tap on the inside of the chain stay where the rotor will scratch the paint off, might just be a 180mm rotor thing but worth doing.
if you are running a front mech which one have you gone for?
    Oh and you’ll love it.

Ta for tips. Am going 1×10 Zee shadow plus, blackspire NW, XT crank and shifter. I’m in the process of heli taping the at risk areas before I start building. Ran out of tape. Lmao, new stuff on way from CRC!
