I have not read all of this, but as I understand it:

    1 – the dealer gave you a cheque;
2 – the cheque was then stopped.

Regardless of anything else, you can show up at court and get summary judgement against the dealer for the amount of the cheque unless he can prove that you obtained the cheque by force or fraud.

This article[/url] explains. It also suggests that statutory demand proceedings are “the way to go” for an amount over GBP750, that may also be worth a go.

this place certainly looks after it’s own

The wrath of stw was best illustrated by the almost immediate taking down of the site that hosted the forum from which the great hack was launched, imo.

stw db hacked before Christmas one year.
perp tracked to a hacker forum where he boasted about it.
hacker forum hacked by disgruntled stwer.
all forum communication (including to/from the owner of the hacker forum who was a bit disgruntled) carried out through stw front page for some time.

HI Wool and Pedromichael Iv’e just been done “big style”£13.000.00 with this guy too, seems to be this is how he earns his living. Don’t want to put the details here just now but I would be grateful if either of you would want to make contact with me for a heads together chat. This guy needs stopped. I don’t believe he has cash flow problems. I recon he’s a pro at this. There are ways to get him stopped. I have been doing my research.

Mot365 – if you click where it says “member” next to “Wool”, it’ll take you to where his email address is.

You can stick one of your own in by clicking your name at the very top right of this page, and clicking on settings.

    No, there isn’t a PM function 🙂

    EDIT: Heh. Wool member.

The fact this guy is doing this to multiple people, suggests Wool is going to struggle to get his money back. Certainly having his kids asking for daddys cash back, ain’t going to fly.

I don’t condone it, but maybe stuff like those midnight phone calls etc are the only thing to work on a shit like we have here.

I am also still wondering what the police have to say about all this?

Dealing with this as a trading standards/SOGA issue isn’t working. Also, rather sensibly, you are aware of the dangers of owning with bombers.
I’d be turning up, with witnesses, during working ours, with all you paperwork, then phoning the police as a robbery is in progress. when they arrive, explain that he has your money, you have not authorised repairs to your vehicle, there is no reason why your vehicle is in bits in his workshop unless he plans on breaking it for sale.
Until he gives you a full refund, the car is yours. I doubt he can come up with an excuse to the police as to why he is in the process of breaking your vehicle.
You vehicle removed from site and held as evidence, police crawling over the business, phone your insurer as the vehicle is stolen.
police not interested in a civil case, but if he’s in the process of stealing your vehicle…

    Same here.

As many people have mentioned, this guy has stolen the car, have the police been involved?

Also, I think we need to make this thread come up in Google when anyone searches his or the business name/details.

Pedromichael. Would you like to be in contact with me by email and we can discuss our situations. I can get nowhere with him either. Going to small claims now. I’d really like to know how he ripped you off.

Is this dealer known about in the way that he goes about his business, on any Land Rover forums?

Contact Dom at the BBC and make a case of it… There is £25k of vehicles on this thread alone…

I’m in the LR scene and do some restoration part time (not commercially), I also live in Rossendale.

I’ve been PM/emailed by other forum members regarding them buying a LR from one of the other LR restorers in the Valley and I frequent LR4x4.com

This guy hadn’t popped up on any radars although he appeared to be doing some nice stuff. I’ve never had any dealings with him whereas I’ve bought the odd engine part off the others (I’m into rebuilding 200TDI/11L engines)

When youve got all the bits back you need to organise a landrover rebuild ride. More than a few of us on here have built rebuilt and for no discernible reason enjoy fixing these things.

Wool, please could you get in touch with me, the same guy has done pretty much the same thing to me, except I am so grateful for finding this forum and after reading your post I am not giving my vehicle back until he refunds me In full. Thanks for posting this info. I only wish I had seen it before getting sucked into a web of lies. I have an un drivable defender with a list of serious problems as long as my arm!

Given OP’s silence, I’m guessing some sort of ‘arrangement’ has been met.

Amazing how this guy is continually shafting people, tho.

Some money back in return for silence. So the cycle continues…

Like refunding people for a bad car with proceeds from the next.

The guy who finds himself without a chair when the music stops is going to be really unlucky.
