Now the weather is changing I’m looking for a decent pair of shoes for winter riding. There seems to be loads if you want to ride clipped I but not much choice for riding flat pedals. Any recommendations for keeping the feet warm and dry.

You can sometimes pick these up for about 70 quid – the soles aren’t mega grippy but definitely good enough, and they’re properly warm.

Pair of goretex hiking/tail running shoes + warm socks does ok

FiveTen now do a goretex shoe. It’s more of a winter boot than an all-rounder, with a full neoprene liner. You’ll need to use them with trousers over the top to ensure they stay dry from front wheel spray.

For me they’re too warm. If you like size 46 2/3 then I’ll sell them cheap.
