Need to change my internally routed Sram eagle gear cable and I’ve got lots of Shimano so can I use them? Think I read somewhere there is a slight difference in size.

Also can some kind soul point me in the direction of some plastic tube to push over the old cable before I remove it so I can pass the new one back down it. Tia.

    Shimano are 1.2mm
    Sram are 1.1mm

Thanks, that what I thought. New Sram cable incoming.

You can use Shimano inner and outer together with SRAM trigger shifters, not a problem.

I read once that you may encounter some minor problems when mixing SRAM and Shimano inners and outers, but not when using the same.

1.1mm inners make Shimano super smooth
