So, How do you define yourself? Is it work, music, MTB?
This is me, I quit a job in WRC building engines for Subaru (Prodrive), to look after my two boys (9mths and 2.5yrs at the time), whilst the Mrs went back to work (she earns double me!). Now after a fine family summer roadtrip through Europe we are in NZ. The Mrs is working …again, and I am at home with two wee men, now 2 and 3.5, and I am thinking , sh1t. is this it? At home with the kids? What about my skills/career, interaction with people over the age of 3? We are now riding (with trailer) 30kms a day, to the airfield or looking for horses, which is cool, it takes care of the cycle need at least.

So, who am I?… Who are you?

How remote are you? Get out and meet the toddler groups, you will be most welcome as a married (assumption by me) man as another influence in other kids lives. I did a lot of childcare when my two were younger due to shift work and a pattern with lots of free time. It was great though not stimulating at times. The local toddler group was a godsend though adults to talk to and the kids running and playing in safety. Visits into town or just out for a wander help avoid the stir crazy feeling.
Currently I’m part of the joblessworld crew and my job is to get fit and be a domestic god 8), whilst searching for a new job. It’s a challenge and I miss my trips to the Peak District and the Lakes etc. but I’m covering silly amounts of miles in the local area. Enjoy the ability to stop and smell the flowers as and when you want or the kids require. This time will pay dividends in the teenage years.

I have no particular definition of myself – I find it odd that people need to do so.

Doesnt sound to me like Chopper dislikes his current position at all, quite the contrary.

I’m 22, I have a buggered knee so bike riding is comfined to sporadic bursts every few years when the doctors let me before it reverts to being completely feked.

I live in a shared house with some pretty cool people, but the landlord is a grade one c**k, who “forgets” to replace the thermostat batteries when he takes them out for no feking good reason. And takes months to fix things.

I live in the south east which is rubbish

My job is nowhere near as interesting the degree “required” to do it.

And yes I will be geting private health care, moving up North, getting a different job and buying my own house just as soon as I can.
