I have a set of 2009 Dual Air revs. On the top of the right leg is the compression adjust and floodgate dials. The compression adjust can be changed but using a remote lever. However I want to change it to the newer (?) version where I can change the compression by turning a lever on the fork itself.

Is this possible?

You can do it, but you'll need to get hold of a different compression cartridge, as the return spring is built into it on the lockout version, so if you simply removed the lockout and swapped to a lever/top cap adjuster, it would immediately return to the minimum setting.
