Tomorrow morning I, and 9 other guys are setting off from Greenwich park in London and riding to Amsterdam (via Dover/Dunkirk/Brugge/Delft) arriving in Amsterdam for lunch on Tuesday.
The mileages are 86/50/95/50 – not too horrendous but the first day is fairly hilly and we are carrying our kit. None of us a ‘natural born cyclists’ with a broad range of abilities from ‘pretty good’ to ‘pretty hopeless”
The ride is in memory of my younger brother Dom who lost his battle with cancer in 2013 aged 36.
We wanted to raise £100k for a research fund at UCLH hospital (specialising in colon cancer, and managed by the surgeon who treated him) at time of writing we’re at £90k including gift aid.

I know it isn’t the transcontinental, but hey – it should be fun!
