  • Replacing damper body on Rockshox shock….

Just picked up a Super Deluxe Ultimate (wooooo) but damper body surface a little worn. It needs a seal change/50hr service so thinking of swapping the mint damper body from my Deluxe R. Same 55mm stroke length.

Is it relatively easy/obvious job to do? Looks like a screw fitting?
Does the damper body contain special type/volume oil or pressurised?

Had a look online and couldn’t find the guide from SRAM.
    Any help is appreciated!

    Cheers

You need to do a low of steps of a full service. Off the top of my head the minimum would be; de pressurize air can, remove air can, de pressurize IFP, remove IFP reservoir cap, remove damper body from seal head, fit new damper body, bleed damper, set IFP height, pressurize IFP, air can service.

If I was doing all that I would just do the full service, especially considering the damper body is worn.

Thanks all, but more to it than unscrewing one and screwing on the other!

    Will do some more reading

    Cheers
