Been lent a bike by a m8, but his setup is very different to mine, can I get the foam grips off his bars without destroying them or is it just easier to buy another set?
Assuming you can get em real cheap?

get under them with a screwdriver etc, bit of hairspray, should slide off. You can use water/soap but you MUST clean it off well so they don't slide when they go back on.

just use water under them to get them to slide off. don't bother with soap/dw40. but you can get a new set off ebay for about 3 quid inc. delivery.

I use brake cleaner - it works really well to both get them off and put them on.
