Just read that project Cars is online only multiplayer.

Never played online, I just do career mode. Don’t know about two player split screen, let you know when I get home on Tuesday.

Can anyone recommend a good racing game that I can play splitscreen with my son?

straight off was going say Dirt Rally but then found doesn’t support split-screen. Shame because otherwise it’s amazingly realistic and challenging. IMO possibly a little too much of both if had to criticise. But it is immersive.

The only race game I’ve played with local split-screen is Wipeout. Also v good but in a totally different arcade-y way – and has power-ups to keep it unpredictable. Think it’s free ATM with PS Plus

Mmm, thanks. I think I’m just pining for the proper Gran Turismo games from PS2/PS3 era before everything went online.
What I really want is an Xbox with Forza but it’s a bit of an extravagance for one game!
