I’ve just installed a bird feeder in my back garden which is now starting to attract a variety of different birds. Can anyone suggest a good bird identification book.

Nuts? Or perhaps Zoo, if your feeling intelligent. There are plenty of tits in there.

The Collins Bird Guide is the best imo.
Has a black cover with an owl on it

The Collins Guides listed here are both good.

Also, try thistle seed – you need a special feeder, but goldfinches love it and they won’tt ouch anything else.

    Thanks.

That Bird identifier on the RSPB website has answered my question. We have a group of long tailed tits in the garden.

    The Bullingdon Club?

In thats case you’ll need a copy of Who’s Who to identify them

"How to be a bad birdwatcher" by Simon Barnes. but the companion, as that has the birds in it.

otherwise you wouldn’t go wrong by joining the RSPB not only do you get a really good bird guide but you’re also supporting take care of the little critters 🙂
