Having been mucked about by Halfords a couple of months ago when I drove to a store an hour away to pick up a set of mud guards for the roadbike as they were the nearest with stock, only to find that the box had been raided and only half the contents were there I feel like this is a good chance to redress the balance.

Got one today Halfords Lancaster,they still have stock,ordered online via click and collect. Shows £20 on the shelf talker,but when you come to buy they knock off 15% = £17 result!. Sale discount I think ends today but you could ask and even at £20 they are a bargain. Cheers to OP and others for the PSA!!. ?

Criminals often try to justify their actions 🙄 . I am a police custody sergeant, I make criminal charging decisions as part of my daily responsibility. Shame you’re in Devon, you could have popped in to see me in Oxford tomorrow to chat about it.

Called in to pick up some tubes at 5 for £10, got a Catlike Leaf for Kevin for £17. Still got quite a few of the Bell Stokers in medium and large and a couple of Leafs left at the Cortonwood branch.

Just got a Bell Lumen for £15.30!!! Happy with that 🙂 Tried the Catlike Leaf on and it didn’t feel right on my noggin 🙁 Nice lid though.

I think we need a special hand shake or nod, to either say I like a bargain or I’m a cheap skate you choose.

odd that theres so many catlikes about, they were discounting them to similar levels to the Bell/Giros in January – my local had sold out – so presumbably theyve found a load more stock?

I nearly bought another road lid for commuting given the discounts, but my justification for getting the Stoker was to demote my old Giro Havoc to commute duties.

The Stoker was all sold out in Huddersfield this afternoon.

Just bought one from the Rochdale store, medium for £20 – large is £39.99.
Also grabbed a quids-worth of SIS gels on discount down from £1.79 to £0.10 – yes 10 pence per gel!

Loads of these apearing on e-bay for a lot more than £20, some for more than you can pick up a super for……. Funny that!

I tried mine out earlier by bouncing my head off of a tree, and I have to say Im Impressed 🙂 £17 well spent 😆

Being completely honest, yes. Then I remember how I typically look on my bike anyway, and conclude that its not really going to the deciding factor in how cool, or otherwise, I appear.

Called back at the Cortonwood branch last night and bought the last medium Leaf for a spare. They still had two large matt black Leafs left and a load of medim and large green Stokers. Was out in the Peak yesterday and didn’t see one green Stoker.
