    Hi,
Literally one day to the next the freehub on my pro4 hub started to show a few mm of side to side/lateral play on the axle.

So fitted a new freehub seal, no change. Lbs fitted all new bearings in freehub, no change.

The spacer between hub bearing and freehub is present as is the spacer that goes on before the cassette.

The play is there with or without the cassette and even if I press the end cap in at same time.

Anyone any ideas what to try next??

    Thanks

Is there play when the wheel is in the frame and the axle tightened?

Could the axle have snapped/cracked in the hub body?
Is there play in the axle with the free hub body removed?

No obvious play. I haven’t popped the bearings out to check. Its defo the freehub sliding on the axle as still there when all tightened up.

I’ve never worn the surface of an axle before but possible I guess ??
