Prime road wheels end cap conversion kit

I’ve bought a set of  50mm carbon prime road wheels that come with qr fittings rather than the 12mm thru axles I need (100 & 142). I believe these are novatec hubs that are labelled ‘prime RD010’ and have seen online they can be changed from qr to thru axle. Can anyone point me in the right direction for the end caps that I need?

the 50mm prime wheels are rim brake only aren’t they?   Do you have a 12mm axle on a rim brake frame?

Or the 56 rims are used on the disc variant and more likley to beused with 12mm axles.

Either way, were these new from WiggleCRC?  Both QR and thru axle adaptors are included in the box with the disc wheels – in the bag with spare spokes, valves etc…

The end caps are/were on CRC…I got mine for like 60p!

However…you MAY have heard CRC are pretty dead..so you might struggle!

For 15mm but says they have rear wheel kits too, may have some 12mm? Worth contacting I reckon.

Thanks for replies. There disc brake 50mm carbon rims, they came on a bike I bought and swapped the wheels.

Yeh I know about CRC going belly up unfortunately.  I only need the end caps if they can be swapped out for the QR ones that are on it just now. I’ll drop the eBay seller a message,

Have you seen the tech docs here; https://primebikecomponents.com/pages/technical-support-documents . Can’t see the exact model number you listed but it may be in there somewhere.

If they are novatec hubs then it’s an axle swap not just end caps.

Anyone got any pics of what  12 mm end caps look like? I have had numerous sets of prime wheels, and have numerous end caps sitting in a box. Can’t remember why I’d have a spare set as I thought I’d always run a 12mm hub, but maybe not. As If they aren’t for the primes I have no idea where they are from!

Hi again. It turns out its end cap replacement on the front and axle kit on the rear.

I’ve located the front caps , just need the axle kit for the rear.  There’s a set on eBay bu ext I’m not based in the UK unfortunately. Am I right in saying that these are novatec hubs, so would a generic axle conversion kit do the job?

Or does anyone know the difference between the RD010 and RD020 hub as I can locate a rear axle kit for the RD020?
