Open Country on Radio 4 is good for the odd gem if you’ve a spare half hour. This week they look at postal paths and corpse roads, topics that have been discussed in this esteemed organ before now and are always worth revisiting. All on Sounds.

Robert MacFarlaine writes about that in one of his books, it’s not a walk I’d fancy doing without checking the weather repeatedly for a couple of days before hand. The thought that nobody really knows how many people have likely died using it is sobering.
