This is the first time I have replaced wheel bearings so be gentle with me.

Managed to dismantle a Planet X rear hub and removed the bearing on one side.
I now have the below spindle with 2 (?) bearings tightly in place. I want to replace all of them of course but how should I remove them from the spindle without damaging it?

    Thanks

open your vice wide enough for the axel to pass freely and to have good contact with the bearing.

put the long end downwards and rest the bearing on the vice top.

use your rubber or plastic deadblow mallet to tap the axel end – this should push through the end cap letting it go loose – remove this.

keep tapping the end of the axel till it falls out the bearing

The freehub should just slide off with little effort, after that you could just grip the bearings in a vice and gently tap the axle out with a block of would covering it to prevent the hammer damaging it.

Thanks for that thats probably the approach I would have taken so at least that is the right one and I am not totally off the mark.
