He made that character his, and Paulie was the most well known character of one of the best series ever made, most of the memorable scenes he was in, his beefs with Ralph and others, and Pine Barrens especially, he had suffered from dementia the last few years, horrible disease that just robs people of their memories and dignity, RIP.

    Oh Marone! Rest in peace.

Love The Sopranos. Good excuse to give it yet another watch.

I have the disks too. As well as Mad Men, Breaking Bad and The Wire. The greats! In fact I can never decide which, if any is the best. But I think The Sopranos just pips it. They’re all different of course.

I think Tony was so believable was because he actually was a mobster back in the day , It is the greatest series of all time in my opinion and Paulie was probably the best character. Pine barrens was excellent but the episode where Paulie gets the painting of Tony and the horse doctored was another highlight. Rest in Peace Paulie.

I went into Sopranos late but also blind and ignorant to the actors and their characters. Paulie had it all – comedy, warmth, ruthlessness, vulnerability, authority.

    Brilliant. RIP.
