I bought a 2024 Oiz with the new Float SL shock. The squidlock remote should provide 3 settings: open – medium – locked. I found out that in medium mode the shock is as plush as in open mode. Or maybe 5-10% firmer at most. Should there be a big difference between open and medium? For now this “medium” mode seems more like a gimmick to me, bringing no real benefit. Locked mode works perfectly however.

    Things I did:

    • Set PSI (and sag) to match my weight
    • Made sure the cable is tensioned even with the adjustement screw on the squidlock not in place.

I don’t feel any difference even if turn the adjustement screw clockwise as much as possible. Any ideas what’s wrong?

You won’t feel much difference in a car park squish test.

Go rider it, sprint out the seat or hit big compressions or g out berms – then the middle ‘high compression’ mode will feel different.

Thanks for the heads up. This is exactly how I tested it, squishing the suspension for 30 mins in a car park, in open and medium mode. I didn’t take the bike on the trail yet.

Definitely give it a ride before making any conclusions.
