So I decided to treat myself to a 4 pot slx caliper and other bits from a well known online German retailer. I have used them many times before with no issues. I tell you when something goes wrong it’s a palaver to get sorted. I ordered a new brake hose that included the banjo bolt to go with the caliper and they sent me the wrong version so i cannot connect the caliper.

Emails back and forth over the last 5 days, still not resolved……

Me.you sent me wrong part. I ordered x and you sent y. Can I get part x please.

Them. Send us a picture of what you got

Me. Ok here is a picture of y

Them. Send us a picture of contents.

Me. Here is a picture of y contents.

Them.so you need banjo bolt for y.

Me. No I need the banjo bolt that should come with x. Banjo bolt for y does not fit.

Them. Yes you need banjo bolt for x. You ordered x. Did you get x? If not gimme a helping hand.

Me. I ordered x. You sent y. I need x as per my order.

Them. Tell me which banjo bolt you need.

Me. I need banjo bolt for x.

    Them………….

Ffs. GIVE ME PART X THAT I ORDERED. I have told them 4 times what I need. I don’t know if its me or something is lost in translation or the bloke, Gerd, at the other end does not know about bike bits.

    And so it continues

Them. So you need this? (Picture of banjo bolt y)

Me. No I need banjo bolt x (include a picture off the web site)

Them. OMG this is what I asked yesterday. I will send it now.

I am afraid to reply asking him to confirm he is sending x. Who knows which one will turn up.

Just return the whole lot and start again with another retailer.
