Rene Auberjonois has passed, aged 79.

Odo was one of the best things about DS9. Sad day.

And down that rabbit hole I also find Aron Eisenberg, the actor who played the Ferengi kid Nog, checked out back in September aged 50 due to heart failure. Ugh.

    RIP.

I’m currently rewatching DS9 on Netflix and Odo is a consistent highlight.

Another legend gone and did so much more beyond Trek (and was also Colonel West in Star Trek VI though only in the extended cut as his scenes were cut on release, which was a shame). Probably the best character on DS9.

Yeah, that was a shock as he’s been very activity on social media, events, conventions and all that. Though he’s always had health issues born with one kidney, being the cause of his small height, and several transplants.

Also tragic is Marina Sirtis (played Troi) lost her husband yesterday too.

He was a good baddie in Police Academy 5 😂 Although having grown up watching DS9 I never recognise him until he starts talking (great voice also!!)

Odo was one of the best things about DS9.

The bantz between him & Quark is probably the only reason I’d watch it now!
