Oh I’ve been called that for years, that and all the gear no idea. I wear the badges (proper bronze coloured) with pride.

Very nice indeed but needs a nicer crankset, preferably middleburn

    GRX820 will do.

Anyway, when did the memo come out about shorter cranks being the ‘thing’? 175mm here.

I approve of your choice of doitall bike and the handlebars you fitted on it.

I also like that you didn’t fanny around and put a double chainset on.

Did you paint the graffiti yourself to match the hubs.. and get slightly the wrong colour?

    Hubs or paint?

    Heh!

Frame is indeed a Sonder Camino Ti, I was looking at a Curve GXR, but when Alpkit/Sonder had a sale on back in Feb and knocked £400 off the F&F I couldn’t justify the price difference, so spent that difference on the top spec stuff.

Big thanks to @18bikes for Hope stuff.

The grips are the redshift set up, I’ve actually got 2 layers of tape on too, but all that makes the bars about as large a diameter as the downtube, so may change that at some point.

oh I’ve got something else coming that won’t be here for a while, and I’ve also got to fit the gold/orange/bronze Hope valves.

Double chainsets are underrated on WUTBCBDTMTANCGBLAMTIFABPSWSCNNBBGOOFATFTBAHHTSM bikes, nice choice.

That head tube is long enough to be a seat tube on one of my bikes :-0

If it’s a steep angled, limited clearance, horizontal top tube frame with one bottle mount and no bosses for anything else it’s a CX bike designed for tight turns on a grassy patch in the park.

I think you’ve fallen for the luddite response to gravel bikes. A proper grav bike is so much more than a CX bike. The only similarity is a diamond frame and a drop bar and even then there are flat bar versions

Redshift kitchen sink bars with the control grips and a dropper? You’d be asked to leave the UKCX council with that combo.

Good luck in winter* with those tyres

    Congratulations on your new thing.

Is there something wrong with the bottom of the wheels that you chose to hide them from view?

Not my type of bike, and would have resisted commented if not for those grips. They look all sorts of wrong to my drop-bar bike avoidant personality. Do you have the hands of a giant?

Thanks mods, now my thread title makes no sense at all 🙄😝

The grips are comfy. The tyres had punctures so cropped them out of shot*. It’s not a dropper it’s a suspension post, and you know I may not be entirely serious with my description.

(*there was some lad sat on the railway bridge right above my bike, I didn’t hang about to get a load of fancy shots)
