Nice surprise in Hope yesterday, to discover that the Woodbine Cafe hasn’t totally disappeared, but been re-invented as The Grasshopper. Lovely new owners, excellent coffee, and very delicious cake.
If you say it’s your birthday, you might even get a free slice of cake 😉

I popped in last week and was also very impressed. They’ve sandblasted the walls I think so it’s much brighter inside, plus they’ve opened up the fireplaces and said they’ll be using them in winter

Great food and coffee- I had a ham and cheese toastie that ticked many hungry-mtber boxes 🙂

I’ve been to the grasshopper in Amsterdam, cake in there was good too!!

I often hope for cake. I’ve never eaten cake in Hope.
