Historically I’ve given my home wifi routers terrific names in order to leave my neighbors amused/shocked/sexually aroused. (Or, more likely, none of the above.)
Back in the day I used to run a network where the domain name was Springfield. All the servers were named after Simpsons characters, so Homer, Marge etc. When I came to install a new network router, I named it Wiggum on the grounds that it directed traffic.
Where I am now, we installed a router in the Lab purely to do Port Address Translation (PAT) and Network Address Translation (NAT). It got named NATalie PORTman.
