Recently upgraded my MT5 levers to the HC single finger versions as I bent one of the stock ones. Was a bit miffed about the cost of the levers (over £25 each), but at least now I've seen them up close I can see some added benefits.
The main point for me being that they are not simply a shorter lever, as you can see below the HC lever has thicker and deeper profile walls and more bracing around the pivot point which gives them a MUCH nicer feel than standard as there's no lever flex with the HC.
I still think they're too expensive but at least they feel nice!
Thanks
I was considering (ie saving up..) getting these for my MT7's.
Now that I have just had them bled, and moved the levers inboard, I don't see the need. Stop v quick with one finger (though I do have mahoosive hands/fingers..)
During 'normal' riding the difference isn't so noticeable, but on long DH descents you really appreciate the lowered braking effort. Takes a lot of the strain off your wrists as you can hold the bar/lever with a looser grip.
