I picked up a Zeta 2 for my short commute through town. Thought I’d do a quick review and share some thoughts.

I tend to buy quirky and/or independent brand bikes.. I’m a serial Stooge buyer after all. When I spotted this I figured I’d have to give it a go.

I think the quality let’s it down, but the principle of a mini velo really appeals to me. I might look into something a little more bespoke for the future with a proper spec.

I love the look of the mini velos.
I keep talking myself out of getting a Velo Orange Neutrino, I reckon it’d be a hoot to commute on.

Still lust after a cannondale hooligan, but resale prices are silly…

I don’t get it, the wheels are tiny, but not so it can fold?
So all the downsides of a folder without the benefits.

uncomfortable ride on anything but smooth tarmac, you’ll have to book ahead if you want to take it on a train and unfinished welding under the BB…

Your review has convinced me never to buy one, thankyou…

    Also Who is “Brendan Kerr”?

I initially wanted a Hooligan, but they are so hard to find and the premium is crazy now!

The Velo Orange Neutrino looks perfect, but the geometry is decidedly ‘old school’- I;d probably go for a Marino custom build to get it a bit slacker and longer.

Pretty much! It’s good fun though. It’s like a BMX with gears, so it’s pretty playful. I did a 10 mile ride and that was starting to become a chore on the mixed riding I did. It would be perfect for town riding though.

Brendan/Bernard, who cares.. he’s one of those sick riders with bags of skills that I don’t have.
